Community Rules
A useful professional community depends on relevant contributions and permission-based contact.
Who the community is for
All community access requires an active paid community membership. Free marketplace accounts and listing products do not include it. Use your real professional identity and describe your role accurately. Do not share a paid account or use another member’s session.
Keep the three groups focused
Buying & selling is for acquisition and sale questions. Brokers & introductions is for mandates, collaboration and introduction practice. Franchises is for territories, ownership and operating questions. Give enough context for someone to help: sector, location, stage and the specific question. Avoid repetitive promotion or flooding several groups with the same post.
Permission before disclosure
Do not post private contact details, customer or employee information, confidential financials or documents without authority. Respect NDAs and the information owner’s instructions. Contact requests are not permission to add someone to marketing lists. Do not scrape or export the directory, bulk-message members or republish private discussions.
Claims, offers and professional work
Support financial claims and disclose relevant commercial interests. Do not invent mandates, returns, available finance, credentials or member endorsements. No unlawful financial promotions, investment solicitation, scams or instructions to evade regulation. Agree professional work and fees separately. A profile approval does not guarantee competence, availability or results.
Moderation and reporting
First contributions may be held for review. Use the report control to identify misleading, abusive, irrelevant or privacy-infringing content and explain the issue. Moderators may request evidence, remove material or restrict misuse. Do not retaliate against reports. You can challenge a decision by emailing ebitda@mailfence.com with the relevant reference and context.
